Aligned with the SDI Framework, this professional development initiative aims to develop and implement tools and processes that support teachers in delivering effective, specially designed instruction to improve literacy outcomes for learners with disabilities.
This course is designed for Keystone AEA Schools who are signing up for the SDI Literacy K-6 scope and sequence.
In the SDI K-6 Literacy work, there are 6 big ideas:
- Diagnose System and Learner Needs
- Design Effective Instruction
- Goal Setting and Progress Decisions
- Collaborative Design
- Intensification
- Data-Informed Decisions
During this 2025-2026 course of learning we will be focusing on the big ideas of Collaborative Design, Intensification, and Data-Informed Decisions.
Additionally, there will be Data Review activities that can be completed on your own in the Fall and Spring. The Winter Data Review will be done as part of training on January 27, 2026. If you would like guided facilitation for the Fall and Spring data review sessions, that can be purchased in half day increments through your District Service Delivery Plan.
This course is only for schools who have completed Year 1 of the SDI K-6 Literacy content.
